Description: Edward Webster is Professor of Sociology and Director of the Sociology of Work Unit (SWOP) at the University of Witwatersrand. He was a Senior Fulbright Scholar at the University of Wisconsin, Madison in 1995. He is past president of the South African Sociological Association (SASA) and current president of the Research Committee on Labour Movements for the International Sociological Association (ISA).
